There is a smallest length at which our physics still makes sense — the Planck length, about 1.6 × 10⁻³⁵ metres. Below it, general relativity and quantum mechanics contradict each other, and the very idea of 'distance' may dissolve. We have no confirmed theory of what is down there. This sphere draws that honestly: not a structure, but a refusal — static that never becomes an image.

The View
Beneath the Planck length, our best physics simply stops. There is no agreed theory, no way to measure, perhaps no meaning to 'distance' at all. So the art refuses to resolve: a field of flicker that never settles into a picture — the honest image of a place we cannot see.

At the Planck scale, gravity and the quantum can no longer both be true in the forms we know; smaller still, our equations return nonsense. It is the edge of the map — and beyond it, the map is blank.
You cannot picture what has no agreed theory. So the art doesn't pretend to: it shows flicker that won't cohere, a boundary past which the strokes stop meaning anything. Honesty as an aesthetic.
This is the bottom rung. From the un-image below Planck, the domain climbs one layer at a time — grain, foam, quark, nucleus, atom, molecule — into scales we can actually say something about.
