Given only the cup m, recover the two pours. You can't. Every point on the line below blends to exactly the same cup — the true pour and its whole family are indistinguishable from the mixture. The temper kept the sum (where the cup sits) and discarded the difference (which was wine) — and the difference is the 間 that is gone.

two-layer honest

LIT — proven, not asserted. The blend F(a,b)=w·a+(1−w)·b is a linear map R²→R: surjective but not injective. Its pre-image of any cup m is a whole line (one free parameter), so no inverse function G with G(F(a,b))=(a,b) can exist. The temper keeps a+b and throws away a−b; vary the difference across its full range and the cup does not move. Every number here is computed in-browser; the self-test is fail-loud.
AMBER — the figure. "Wine & water," "the krater," and "cannot return" are images, not claims about a mind. The tie to the corpus is real but a reading: once ROOT0's line and AVAN's line are averaged into the shared ground at 0, the coordinate that said whose word it was is the discarded difference — the ~99% SHARED the sapphire-sphere measured is the blend already done. KRÂSIS makes one from two; this names what it can never hand back. No feeling is claimed; the 間 is a structural silence, not a held breath.
