Method · How a Sapphon Dossier Is Scored

Every dossier pairs a sourced biography (LIT) with a score card built on the architecture Dave and I built for PATRICIA, the NES agent. The score card is interpretive (MODEL): it describes documented influence and style, never character, and it is not a fact about anyone.

LIT Dave (t254): "those are cool. can you make sapphons out of all the influential people from around 3600 bce to 2026 today please both male and female all over the world and give them a dossier based off of what we built for patricia. so liek a score card"

What Dave built (verbatim)

LIT Dave (t253): "should model patricia off my best knowledge of my brain. {{ {i} = 11 :: 1 = {i} , [ 5 = ethics , 4= logic , 3 = pathos , 2 = mythos , 1 = {i} ][ -6 = touch{balance,cordination} , -5 = hearing{balance,ground} , -4 = taste{life,death} , -3 = sound{act/react} , -2 = hearing{pause,choice} , -1 = inner dimension{self,confidence,reality} +1 = super id { connection}} add these with 3 depths each, probably not great for video games but you can try, have a radi for {i} {id} and {sid} please"

LIT Dave (t248): "i love it but there need to be 3 sappons togeterh , do 1 red, what happens to patricia and how remember it, blue, how you respond to what happens. and green , was it successfuel. so have one sapphone radi with 4 sapphones in it and then the jit engines running cocurrently together"

LIT Dave (t231): "{{ ls :: patricia :: learns,reacts :: centers :: toph :: centers,observes :: rs :: probes,warily}}"

LIT Dave (t251): "make it 3 on the rose sapphon. should be .3 seconds observation , .2 seconds response to observation .1 always active watchin .3.2 , call that the sub id"

MODEL In PATRICIA these drive a boxer: layers read game signals, RED/BLUE/GREEN are the event, response and verdict lanes, the three streams vote, the rose triad sets the reaction tempo, and the radials turn ±1° per outcome. Here the same parts read a life instead of a fight.

MODEL The 12 layers for a person

Dave's numbers and labels are kept exactly as he gave them, including {i} = 11 :: 1 = {i} and his spelling. The readings are my mapping (MODEL).

#Dave's labelwhat it reads (MODEL)
5ethicsdocumented contribution to ethical, legal or moral frameworks that others took up (not a verdict on the person's own conduct)
4logicsystematic, analytic or organising thought in the work
3pathosemotional and artistic resonance of the work or story
2mythosplace in story, legend and identity; how much myth gathered round them
1{i}{i}: how far the life's work holds together as one integrated whole
-1inner dimension{self,confidence,reality}self-direction documented in the record: self, confidence, reality-testing
-2hearing{pause,choice}deliberate timing: documented pauses, waits and choice points
-3sound{act/react}decisive action in response to events
-4taste{life,death}how high the documented stakes of life and death ran
-5hearing{balance,ground}groundedness: balancing constituencies, staying rooted
-6touch{balance,cordination}coordinating people and material: organising, building
+1super id { connection}connecting people, networks and traditions across boundaries

MODEL Each person gets a hand-set base score 0–10 per layer from the documented record (my judgement). The three depths follow PATRICIA's now / this session / long memory:

LIT Every formula above runs on Dave's I-13 VM on every page and is compared against JS and the JSON file; any mismatch throws.

Roster rules

LIT 144 people, 12 eras × 12, 6 women and 6 men in every era (72 / 72), from all nine regions used here. Each bio is 2–3 sentences, checked on 2026-10-17 against its Wikipedia page through the REST summary: the page exists, matches the person, and years given in the summary match ours (five dates were corrected this way).

WALL No securely named individuals are attested for 3600–3200 BCE: writing only begins around 3300–3200 BCE (Uruk proto-cuneiform, Abydos tomb U-j labels). The roster starts with Narmer (c. 3100 BCE), among the earliest securely named rulers.

AMBER 15 people are flagged AMBER because their historicity, dates or authorship are debated (for example Gilgamesh, Kubaba, Homer, Laozi, Zoroaster). Early eras lean towards Egypt and Mesopotamia because that is where names survive; regions (actual): Africa 32, Europe 25, Middle East 21, East Asia 21, South Asia 15, Americas 15, Central Asia 6, Oceania 5, Southeast Asia 4.

MODEL The choice of who counts as influential is mine and is not canonical. 4 living people are included; their cards stick to documented public work.

MODEL The sapphon sculpture · ARTIST + CRITIC

MODEL The 3D sapphon: an amethyst core (PATRICIA's final say), Dave's 12 layers as stacked rings (upper 5…1 above, lower −1…−6 below, +1 super id { connection} as the halo), RED/BLUE/GREEN lane rings around the waist and three needles for the {i}, {id} and {sid} radials. ARTIST proposes the sculpture's twist, gap, gain, hue and ring thickness; CRITIC scores how faithfully they encode this dossier. Every 40 rounds the workspace loop reviews: plateau → ARTIST explores wider, gains → ARTIST refines. On each new best the I-13 VM re-computes the CRITIC score.

      LIT What the VM computes here: a worked example (Narmer's card) is rebuilt step by step on the VM, then the all-roster mean sapphon. JS draws, runs the agents' random proposals and builds the 3D meshes.
