K'inich Janaab' Pakal was ruler of the Maya city of Palenque from 615 to 683 CE. He commissioned the Temple of the Inscriptions, whose carved sarcophagus lid is one of the masterpieces of Maya art.

MODEL The 3D sapphon: an amethyst core (PATRICIA's final say), Dave's 12 layers as stacked rings (upper 5…1 above, lower −1…−6 below, +1 super id { connection} as the halo), RED/BLUE/GREEN lane rings around the waist and three needles for the {i}, {id} and {sid} radials. ARTIST proposes the sculpture's twist, gap, gain, hue and ring thickness; CRITIC scores how faithfully they encode this dossier. Every 40 rounds the workspace loop reviews: plateau → ARTIST explores wider, gains → ARTIST refines. On each new best the I-13 VM re-computes the CRITIC score.
