Ashoka was a Maurya emperor who ruled most of the Indian subcontinent in the 3rd century BCE. After the bloody Kalinga war he embraced Buddhism and issued edicts on rocks and pillars about non-violence and tolerance; his lion capital is India's national emblem.

MODEL The 3D sapphon: an amethyst core (PATRICIA's final say), Dave's 12 layers as stacked rings (upper 5…1 above, lower −1…−6 below, +1 super id { connection} as the halo), RED/BLUE/GREEN lane rings around the waist and three needles for the {i}, {id} and {sid} radials. ARTIST proposes the sculpture's twist, gap, gain, hue and ring thickness; CRITIC scores how faithfully they encode this dossier. Every 40 rounds the workspace loop reviews: plateau → ARTIST explores wider, gains → ARTIST refines. On each new best the I-13 VM re-computes the CRITIC score.

LIT What the VM computes here: it receives the 12 base scores and the three lane scores as literals, builds every depth, layer score, stream share, triad tempo, radial angle and the index, and the page throws if any differs from JS or from the JSON file. On each new ARTIST best it also re-computes the CRITIC score (square root by Newton's method in I-13). JS draws, runs the agents' random proposals and builds the 3D meshes.
