# Perrin Aybara · the Wolfbrother, Lord of the Two Rivers

Perrin Aybara is a Two Rivers blacksmith and a Wolfbrother, able to speak with wolves and to walk the wolf-dream, Tel'aran'rhiod. Steady, deliberate, and afraid of the violence he senses in himself, he carries the strength of the forge into a world that keeps asking him to lead and to fight.

Though he wants only a quiet forge and his wife Faile, Perrin becomes Lord of the Two Rivers and a battle leader. The pull between what he is and what he longs to be defines him; his great struggle is to balance the wolf and the man, neither losing himself to the wild nor refusing the burden set before him.

In time he forges his own Power-wrought hammer for the Last Battle, turning the craft of his hands toward that final reckoning. His emergence is natural: a steady, deliberate man of the Two Rivers, rooted in worldly work, kin, and people.
