# Birgitte Silverbow · the Hero of the Horn, ripped from the Wheel

Birgitte Silverbow is a Hero of the Horn — a soul spun out again and again by the Wheel to be reborn whenever the world needs a champion. Across a hundred ages and a hundred names she has been the legendary archer, returning each time the Pattern requires a champion to stand against the dark. She is matchless with a bow, brash and bawdy, a figure of legend made flesh.

In this turning she does not wait between lives for the call of the Horn. Torn out of the world between lives by the Forsaken Moghedien, she lives as a mortal again — no longer a spirit awaiting rebirth but a woman of blood and breath, bonded as Elayne's Warder. The legend now walks the living world, her bow in mortal hands.

Her nature of emergence is ethereal because she belongs to the deep machinery of the Pattern and the Horn — a soul woven and rewoven by the Wheel, a Hero out of legend rather than an ordinary mortal of the world.
