A 9×9×9 lattice — 729 points, each axis 3×3 — with +2 poles: distance and duration. A shell of light expands from the centre at c; a node lights the instant it is reached, so where it is equals how long light took: distance = c × duration.
On the shell the spacetime interval is exactly zero (light is null: (ct)² − d² = 0). The two poles are one measure, scaled by c — the metre is how far light goes in 1/299792458 s.
