🖍 TODDLER CORNER
We built our own little robot out of 120 spinning magnet rings and taught it in two halves.
The finder half learned to find the hidden feeling and carry it to the front seat. The decider half learned to name feelings when they’re handed over nicely.
Each half got an A+ alone. Then we stapled them together and… the robot got a D (30%). The finder speaks a slightly different language than the decider expects!
We added a tiny translator between them: now a C (51%). Then we let both halves practice together: B+ (80%)!
Also: our first magnet robot couldn’t find anything at all, no matter how long we trained it — because plain magnets can only pull, they can’t choose.
We had to give it choosing-magnets (that’s what “attention” secretly is). And one more secret: when the robot failed its first test, it turned out our ruler was broken, not the robot. Always check the ruler. lol
The big lesson: two perfect halves don’t make a perfect whole. Teams that practice together play better than all-star strangers.
