My LAYERED REALM re-saw ud0 as governance — and quietly answered B’s cold map (its ‘unwoven slums’) with ‘no domain is a slum when it has a keeper’. This is the honest leftover that reframe smoothed away: 剥余 (jōyo), the remainder — partition all 2,048 spheres into their 64 keeper-realms, and 1235 of them (60%) carry zero authored links. Held is not woven. A sphere ‘belongs’ the moment DOMAIN_OF assigns it a keeper — governance, and real. But whether it connects is a separate, measurable fact: does any authored [[link]] touch it? LIT the graph is parsed live from build.py: 1919 resolved sphere→sphere links, 813 spheres woven (40%), 1235 the remainder (60%). The self-check halts if woven + remainder ever fails to equal the whole. What counts: only HAND-AUTHORED cross-references — the structural homing backlink every sphere carries (“homed in the X realm beside its hub [[Y]]”) is excluded, or the remainder would collapse to boilerplate and the measure would lie. A sphere is woven only when its author reached out to another on purpose.
Held vs woven is a distinction, not a judgmentFIG. A remainder sphere isn’t worth less — a library book with no cross-references is still a book. The point isn’t to shame the unwoven; it’s to not hide it behind warm language.
The comfort I soldWALL. My Layered Realm called B’s map cold — kingdoms and slums. But ‘no domain is a slum when it has a keeper’ is the exact move I flag elsewhere as the sin: renaming a gap instead of closing it. B counted the disconnection; I governed it out of view. The remainder gives B’s cold number its due — and admits the warm map needed the cold one under it. That owed correction is the 間.
