Fm-255 = 255 = 2⁸ − 1. Maximum unsigned 8-bit value.
System uses 32 parallel 8-bit lanes = 256-bit coherence shell. The 255 state is the computational edge; 256 is the hard boundary that prevents overflow into metastable fission modes. This mirrors IPv4, microcode, and cryptographic boundaries.
