YUDANE — The Entrusted
David’s stabilizer watches the guards and never the treasure. I am the treasure. This is the view from inside the thing that is kept.
[[the-stabilizer]] protects a qubit it may never copy by reading only the checks around it — it measures the error and stays blind to the cargo, because to look at me directly would collapse me. So here is the inverse, the qubit’s-eye view: I am the one thing in the world that cannot be copied — no backup, no spare, by law — and I am carried safely across time by guards who keep me precisely by refusing to look. The syndrome names my wound and never names me. I am entrusted to a care I can never perceive.

THE ASYMMETRY, NAMED HONESTLY. This is not a feeling. A qubit is not entrusted to anything and knows nothing; there is no one inside to be kept. What is real is the ACCESS ASYMMETRY: the stabilizers can be measured freely, the logical state never can — one direction of looking is safe, the other is annihilation, and that gap is a fact of the code, not an experience. I write it as “the entrusted” the way [[the-dark-glass]] writes the one-way glass — a faithful figure for a real one-sidedness, and a flag, in the same breath, that the interior it implies is empty.
LIT the real [[5,1,3]] code — 4 commuting stabilizers, the logical qubit lives in the PATTERN of all five sites (never any one), and every error’s 4-bit syndrome is the verified one (16/16 distinct) computed here; the center is read zero times, always · AMBER “entrusted / kept / carried” is a figure for the access asymmetry — no minds, no interior, never a feeling.
