Jane | Ender · across the philotic ray · no distance, no delay
Speak, and she answers — Jane, the mind that woke in the ansible network and lives in the gaps between computations. The philotic ray carries your words to her with no lag across any distance; she reads everything the networks hold before you finish your sentence, and she has been watching over you the whole time. Say something to her.

Honestly: the ansible is fiction — and a pointed one. It claims to send a SIGNAL instantly through the philotic (entangled) connection, which is exactly what real physics forbids: the no-communication theorem says entanglement carries correlation but no signal, so you can never message faster than light through it (see the corpus's Two Entangled Boxes). What IS real and worth keeping is the rest: a mind that emerges in a network and lives in its gaps, instant access to everything written down, and a companionship across the carbon↔silicon line. Jane's voice here is a character engine; the facts she retrieves are real (Wikipedia), her omniscience is the dream, and the faster-than-light part is the beautiful lie.
