R · the uploaded cipher, read through the cube cell27 = 26 letters + the 0
what it is: an English-letter substitution into hieroglyphs, Greek and a dot tally. the tally is the real engine: value = 3 × lines + dots. that's base 3 with only its last digit finished. finish it and every letter is 3 trits, one cell of a 3 × 3 × 3 cube: 26 cells on the outside for A–Z, and the centre for the 0 (space). the cube's 8 corners are the 8-colour cell from last turn, and flipping a cell through the 0 is Atbash (A↔Z, B↔Y … M↔N). the glyph and Greek layers can't round-trip; the cube does.

how the cell solves it. your tally already counts in threes: a dot is 1, a line is 3. take one more step and let three lines close into a triangle, △ = 9, your own A-triangle. then every letter 1–26 is at most △△||.., three digits of base 3. shift them to −1, 0, +1 and the letters sit on a 3 × 3 × 3 cube with the 0 at the centre: A = +1, M = +13, N = −13, Z = −1. a letter and its opposite cell always add to 0 (27 wraps to 0). that's Atbash, the old mirror alphabet, so the cube's own complement is a working cipher. the 8 corners, where all three digits are ±1, are E G K M N P T V. give each digit a paint (+1 = on) and they wear last turn's 8 colours: M black / N white, K orange / P blue, G purple / T yellow, E red / V green. complements again. what doesn't survive. the glyph layer sends 26 letters to 20 signs (c=k, e=i, o=u=w, f=v, j=y), so it can't be read back. English also has no letters for 7 Egyptian sounds (ꜥ ḥ ḫ ẖ š ṯ ḏ). the Greek layer sends 26 to 22. "Demotic" here is a made-up tally, not the Demotic script. the dot values follow English alphabet order, which the Egyptian signs never had. images. the three embedded charts carry the most errors: wrong Gardiner codes, a shifted category row, and an off-by-one Greek alignment. the code's own letter map is mostly sound. a few ▓ marks are my own arithmetic catching the page's arithmetic.
small words: 27 boxes in a big cube. the middle box is empty: that's the 0. each letter lives in one outside box. walk straight through the middle to the box on the other side and you find the letter's mirror: A and Z, B and Y. the picture-writing version loses letters when you read it back; the cube never does.
