yellowcake

LITYellowcake is the uranium oxide concentrate from milling ore. According to the US NRC, its colour ranges from yellow through orange to dark green-black depending on the drying temperature: hotter drying gives a darker, less soluble product. It was long called U3O8, the main compound from conventional mills. Modern in-situ plants make a yellowish uranyl peroxide. Ammonium diuranate, (NH4)2U2O7, is the classic yellow form.

MODELThe kiln slider maps drying temperature to colour along the NRC's yellow → orange → green-black sequence. The temperature scale is invented, since the NRC gives no numbers. Grains are a toy powder. Nesting: an orange kiln core, a purple heat shimmer, a green-black overfired rim, the yellow cake, the void. Uranium glass, the last critique's open item, is not re-measured here.

Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
