The Tun Survey · Sheet 1:20 (moss cushion, quadrangle 0)
A survey of the water film on a moss cushion, mapped the way a topographic quadrangle maps a mountain. The contours are cut by marching squares. Water spreads by diffusion, evaporates faster on the high ground and pools in the hollows. Each tardigrade follows one rule: walk downhill toward water, and curl into a tun (▲, a survey triangle) wherever the film is too thin. Patrols and tun-states change as the land dries. Tap the map to rain on it. Each survey revision is a reservation on the ledger.
LIT: tardigrades need a water film to be active. When it dries they enter anhydrobiosis as a tun, and they revive when water returns. Marching squares (Lorensen & Cline, 1987, as marching cubes) traces iso-lines. MODEL: diffusion + evaporation ∝ elevation, on a 100×70 grid. ANALOGY: survey symbols, scale and quadrangle naming.

Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
