THE SAMPLER
This sampler is stitched one row at a time on 14-count Aida. Each row follows a single local rule: a stitch's thread is set by its three neighbours in the row above (an elementary cellular automaton), and the floss colour is one of the eight q.d colours, chosen by how many of those neighbours are stitched. The border mirrors itself, and the motto band at the top is stitched first, as a pattern taken from the character codes of “SaPpH{i}on”. Tap any square to add or unpick a stitch, and every row below it re-forms.
LIT: elementary cellular automata (Wolfram numbering 0–255); rule 90 gives the Sierpiński triangle, and rule 110 is Turing-complete (Cook, 2004). ANALOGY: the eight q.d floss colours stand in for the q.d spectrum.

Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
