The Gouge
A block of pear wood with Patricia drawn on it. Thirty gouges cut it at once, and none of them knows the drawing. Each one follows a single rule: cut along the contour of the wood's “pull” toward the figure, and stop where the wood has already been cut. The background lines that result are the swirls you see in an old woodcut. Inside the body, the gouges only cut a hatch.
ANALOGY: the carving is simulated and real wood has no contour field. LIT: the tardigrade outline has 8 legs (4 pairs) and the body is about 0.5 mm long. Drag on the block to cut with your own gouge. Every pull is a reservation on the ledger, and so is every cut you make.

self-checks (kernel, then page)
Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
