LITThe stars are the Yale Bright Star Catalogue (BSC5, V ≤ 5.5, 2,851 stars, J2000, via d3-celestial), precessed to tonight with the IAU 1976 angles. They are drawn on a stereographic alt-az chart for Chicago (41.88° N, 87.63° W). Each star's colour is its B–V converted to temperature (Ballesteros 2012), then a Planck spectrum, then CIE 1931, then sRGB. Planets come from JPL's Keplerian elements (Standish, 1800–2050), checked against JPL Horizons for 2026-10-11 02:00 UTC (Oct 10, 9:00 PM CT): all six bodies agree within 6′. The Moon is not modelled.

LITCross-links: Sirius B (Sirius is marked), Betelgeuse/Arcturus (B–V colours), the 720° clock. The sidereal day is shown live: the sky turns 366.24 times a year against 365.24 solar days.

self-checks (kernel, then page)

Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
