semi-empirical mass formula
THESIS Asimov's pump turns tungsten-186 into "plutonium-186". In our universe Pu-186 can't hold together. COMPUTEDThis uses a toy Weizsäcker mass formula with standard textbook coefficients (a_V 15.75, a_S 17.8, a_C 0.711, a_A 23.7, a_P 11.18 MeV) and a dial k that multiplies all the strong-origin terms; Coulomb stays fixed. Main (won, our world): W-186 is bound at ≈ 8.03 MeV per nucleon (measured 7.99), and Pu-186 has negative proton separation energy at k = 1. Ghost: the para-universe. Raise k and Pu-186 becomes proton-bound near k ≈ 1.5, while the most stable isobar at A = 186 moves from Z = 76 toward 92. The real "stronger" para-universe is the novel's (INVENTED); the curve is the textbook formula (MODEL).
MNEMONIC "Strong up, valley tilts toward N = Z."

After Isaac Asimov, The Gods Themselves (1972): original writing, credited; the only quotation is the title’s source line. Main track = the idea that won; ghost track = the challenger that lost. Entangled partner: electron-pump.

Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
