Works. The palette held: every page is #000 with orange light, and a −/+ pair meeting at zero. Two of Dave's premises were tested rather than echoed. Betelgeuse is M-type (3,600 K), not K-type, so Arcturus (K1.5 III, 4,286 K) stands in as the K giant. And the EHT orange is labelled false colour, citing EHT Paper IV. Sourced: NIST Na D lines, CODATA Wien b, the Hawking formula (6.17×10⁻⁸ K per solar mass), Brus CdSe parameters, NV 1.945 eV / 637 nm, the Cu 2.1 eV and Au 2.38 eV edges, the relativistic gold onset (3.5 → 1.85 eV). Physics is computed live: Doppler widths, Wien peaks, the orange black-hole mass (2.5×10¹⁹ kg), the Brus size, the Cherenkov threshold (0.26 MeV), reflected colours.

Weak. Colour from wavelength uses an approximate table, not CIE colourimetry, so "orange" on screen is approximate. The lava range (1,100–1,200 °C) came from a search summary, not a primary source, and its self-check is circular (a unit conversion). The NV rates and the lava cooling constants are invented; the reflectance step shape is a model. The Brus size (≈6 nm for 600 nm) depends on ε (9.6 vs 10.6) and on a model known to be rough. A first draft of that page carried a wrong 3.8 nm figure from a search summary; the live solver caught it.

Unverified. The phonon-sideband extent of NV emission (drawn, not quoted); exact CIE coordinates of the Planck locus.

Next time. Real CIE 1931 colour matching for the Planck locus; a primary basalt source (e.g. USGS); NV⁰ (575 nm) as a true orange colour centre, after verifying it; sodium-lamp pressure broadening.
