LITThe luminiferous aether, the supposed medium of light, would make Earth's 30 km/s orbital motion an "aether wind". Michelson and Morley (1887, Cleveland) used 11 m folded arms and λ ≈ 500 nm and expected a fringe shift of about 0.4 on rotating the apparatus. They saw less than about 1/20 of that: a null result. Lorentz contraction, then special relativity (1905), explained it. Aether was also the classical fifth element (quintessence); cross-link to Leeluu Fifth Element v41 and Experimentum Crucis.
COMPUTEDRotate the interferometer. Switch between the aether model (fringes shift) and reality (contraction, no shift).

Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
