FALSE_COLOUR(M87*)
LITThe Event Horizon Telescope's 2019 image of M87* is a ring about 40 μas across, brighter to the south. EHT Paper IV states that the images are shown in brightness temperature, that this "does not necessarily correspond to any physical temperature", and that the 230 GHz emission is synchrotron radiation, not a blackbody. The orange is a colour map; the light was radio, invisible to the eye.
MODELA toy ring with Doppler-boosted brightness (the + side approaching, the − side receding). The data never change: only the colour map does. Cycle through orange, greyscale, inverted and blue-hot maps and see the same numbers wear different clothes.

Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
