LITErbium(III) salts and erbium-doped glass are pink. Er³⁺ 4f–4f transitions are sharp, narrow lines, not broad bands, so a few slivers of green and blue are removed and the rest stays near white: a delicate pink. Erbium oxide is used to colour glass pink.
