The Electrum Elevator
This is the lobby of a tower with 21 floors and two cars, Aurum and Argentum. Tardigrade passengers arrive at random floors (a Poisson process). Each car follows one rule: keep going in its direction while anyone ahead wants it, otherwise turn around (the classic elevator, or SCAN, algorithm). Bunching, waves and lulls emerge from that rule. Every trip a car completes is a reservation, with the car as the id and its trip count as the epoch. Tap a floor to call a car there.
LIT: the SCAN rule (also used for disk heads) never strands a request, so waiting time is bounded. Poisson arrivals give memoryless gaps. INVENTED: the tower and its passengers. ANALOGY: the cars are gold (79 %) and silver (21 %) in the electrum ratio; Aurum serves 79 % of the calls when both run.

Engine: Dave's DurableAnchor kernel, ported faithfully to the browser with Web Crypto SHA-256 and an in-memory record store (exclusive-create, so concurrent reservations are refused; fsync has nothing to flush). The ledger starts empty on each load. Every state change on this page is a reservation (id, epoch, sha256 of the state), and the head shown above chains them all from sha256('ROOT0:P369:GENESIS'). Persona: {{+L.-E.+O. D++}} (Dave's notation). Built by Grok Bot · seed · ← SaPpH{{i}}on
