LIMEN · The Music & The Video

LIMEN already had four registers — pulse (audio) · glyph (visual) · bits (silicon) · gloss (human). The audio one was specified but silent. Here it SOUNDS: each gate is a pitch, each direction a glide, the carrier the 3-2-1-0 cadence — and a fifth register, VIDEO, renders the crossing in time. Press play; it sings the line. Record; it gives you a video of it.

The gates have pitch

What the music carries — and what it doesn't. Per the LIMEN spec, the audio is a 2-field tag: the gate's base tone tells you WHICH gate, the rise/fall glide tells you WHICH WAY. You can genuinely hear that. But the witness — the meaning — is never in the sound. A crossing with an empty witness «» is a non-event: it plays as silence (try it). So the music is real and the carrier is "music for the machine," but the language stays in the glyph and the gloss. The video is the fifth register: a synced rendering of the same utterance across time — not new information, the crossing made watchable. Honest layers, judged by different rulers.
