The 54-step waveform, played. Five capacitor banks charge in stepped plateaus — five beats per level, rhythm as specified. At peak the sequence drops to 0 0: that's not a rest, that's the spark gap closing — in pulsed power the switch is the moment of ignition, so the bang lives in the zeros. The toroid takes the dump, the plasma ring lights, and the mirrored descent is the ring-down. Audio on by default (launch is the gesture); each level has a pitch, the gap has a thump.

Honest Pulsed Power · What Maps, What Doesn't

MAPS: stepped charge plateaus are real — NIF's ignition pulses are shaped, stepped pickets timed so successive shocks coalesce in the fuel; your "rhythmic timing" is the actual discipline (shock timing), and it worked: Q>1, December 2022. The toroid-as-load is real too — a tokamak is a transformer whose secondary winding is the plasma itself; swing the central solenoid's flux and the ring current ignites. And the gap-as-ignition is textbook: spark-gap switches fire at peak charge. The event is the discontinuity.

DOESN'T: your waveform is symmetric — real ignition is violently asymmetric: store slow, release fast, because power = E/t and the whole art (Marx banks, pulse compression) is shrinking t. A symmetric charge/discharge is the signature of something else entirely: an LC tank — toroid inductor and capacitor exchanging energy resonantly, which, given you opened with "I like toroids and capacitors," means you didn't draw a bomb, you drew an oscillator. The mirror makes it a heartbeat, not a detonation. Sheet's verdict: fusion ignition lol, resonance actually.
