**What it is.** SAME WORD, DIFFERENT MACHINE: shells inside shells, but NOT fractal — the math changes as you descend. Four levels (electron → nucleus → nucleon → quark), each with its own force, polarity, and shell-rule. And the tested finding: 2 and 8 are the ONLY closures shared by both the electron (2n²→2,8,18,32) and nuclear-magic (2,8,20,28,50,82,126) ladders — the universal enter/exit gates, special precisely because after 8 the two ladders diverge forever. **How it works.** An interactive descent: click L0–L3 to drop from the electron shell (electromagnetic, − cloud, 2n²) through the nucleus (residual strong, + core, magic numbers) and the nucleon (gluon-bound, 3 quarks) to the quark/gluon floor (color confinement). A weak-force toggle flashes the cross-level transmutation n → p (identity change, not binding). The shared-gates panel plots both ladders and marks 2 & 8 in gold as the only shared closures.

**The verified record.** Verified: the electron ladder 2n² = 2,8,18,32 and the nuclear magic numbers 2,8,20,28,50,82,126 share exactly {2,8} and then diverge (18 vs 20) forever — so the enter/exit-gate hypothesis PASSES and the fully-fractal reading FAILS. Corrected-on-the-way-in two-layer honesty: electrons are negative (− cloud), the nucleus positive (+ core); the weak force is a TRANSMUTER (β decay), not the binder (electron↔nucleus binding is electromagnetic, the photon); it is nesting with a new rule per level, not self-similarity. Honest limit: a conceptual map of four physical regimes, not a shell-model solver.
