MODEL STEWARD VII · LAGRANGE'S ARMS under KEEPER ERIS
The Vickrey Hall
Bidder agents with secret values learn how to bid in second-price auctions; shading dies out because honesty is dominant.
AMBER Vickrey (1961): in a sealed-bid second-price auction, bidding your true value is a weakly dominant strategy (standard result, not re-fetched here).
MODEL Six bidders start out shading their bids at random factors and copy the shading of whoever earned most last round, with mutation. The hall's ledger of winners and prices is the shared board.
LIT on load: a brute-force grid over values, rival bids and own bids shows no bid ever beats truthful bidding.
