MODEL STEWARD II · MAY'S MAP under KEEPER ERIS
The Rock-Paper-Scissors Reef
Three species invade each other in a cycle, rock over scissors over paper over rock; spirals emerge and nobody goes extinct.
AMBER Cyclic dominance keeps three species coexisting in spatial games (e.g. Kerr et al., Nature 2002, on E. coli; Reichenbach, Mobilia & Frey 2007) (standard references, not re-fetched here).
MODEL Each cell is an agent. It is replaced by a random neighbour that beats it, provided enough neighbours do (threshold 3 of 8). A census agent posts the shares.
LIT on load: on a seeded 80×80 reef run for 300 generations, all three species survive with at least 10% each.
