Punch-Out!! · Chalkboard of What Landed

An ARTIST agent chalks a bar for each Punch-Out!! button combo and a CRITIC measures it against what Nicki's corpus says actually worked.

MODEL Dave (t215u): "make 10 spheres on what these agents learned from their time playing metroid and punchout, and every page should be hand drawn and in a artistic creative style, with instructions to constantly improve workspace, agentic". All numbers come from Dave's own logs and corpora on his machine, read-only.

(U).nes, 1380 situation|combo entries, xp 1905). worked/tries per combo: A 859/1013, LEFT+A 480/1272, RIGHT+A+B 421/1041, RIGHT+A 141/381, LEFT 2/361, RIGHT 2/71, B 0/124, RIGHT+B 0/164, (idle) 0/36, DOWN 0/12, UP 0/14. A on its own worked 85%; B, RIGHT+B and (idle) never worked.

{A} "worked" is the app's own reward flag, not a knockdown.

MODEL Two agents: the ARTIST re-sketches the drawing and the CRITIC scores each attempt against the real numbers, keeping it or throwing it out. Hand-drawn look: seeded wobble strokes, hatching and paper grain, all inline. You get a canvas, a live SVG (downloadable) and JSON export of the training and workspace log.

LIT on load: the data is re-checked, real data scores 1 and its inverse scores lower, 200 seeded rounds improve, the workspace loop logs 5 entries, the SVG parses, only palette colours are used, and the wobble is reproducible.

Workspace improvement loop: instructions for agents MODEL

  1. Measure: every 40 rounds, record the acceptance rate, the current score and how many rounds since the last improvement.
  2. Try next: if the score has been flat for 40 rounds, widen the mutation step. If acceptance is under 15%, shrink it; over 45%, widen it. Otherwise keep it.
  3. Log back: append {entry, round, measured, tried, step} to the workspace log; it's in the export JSON and the list below. Propose one change to the Mayhem workspace on the shared board.
  4. Repeat, forever: never stop improving. Re-check against the real data before you claim anything.
