LIT PURSER keeps a Fibonacci summand only when it is the largest one that still fits. 88 is 55, 21, 8, 3, and 1. Five summands are kept and five smaller or oversized offers are dropped. Every integer from 1 through 88 has exactly one sum of these Fibonacci numbers with no two neighbors both taken. The law sums to 88. A second run must match.
AMBER Edouard Zeckendorf is the assigned name for this way of writing a whole number. The biography is assigned.
WALL The census stops at 88. This page does not walk the larger integers, and it does not claim a measured life of the mathematician.
MODEL One pupil. Five gold bars stand for the five kept summands. A bar is kept only when it is the largest Fibonacci number that still fits. No cartridge is loaded.
