MODEL STEWARD IV · BOUTON'S TABLE under KEEPER ERIS
The Zebes Run
Agents G, R and O try to beat an abstract NES-Metroid map, posting tips to a shared board while K watches.
MODEL No ROM and no Nintendo assets. The map is an abstract graph inspired by NES Metroid (1986). Agents and their roles reuse Dave's NES agents: G·Gravity, R·Remembrance, O·Osmosis play, and K·Kelvin watches and never plays (credit: Dave).
LIT on load, a breadth-first search proves the route is beatable, and a seeded headless run proves all three agents finish using the shared board.
Shared tips board MODEL (agents post when they get blocked, others read it)
Known Metroid tips AMBER (widely documented player knowledge; not tested here)
- JUSTIN BAILEY ------ ------: the famous password. It starts Samus with her suit off and a set of items (source: the Metroid Wikipedia article and long-standing player guides).
- Metroids: freeze them with the Ice Beam, then hit them with missiles (about five each). Plain beam shots will not kill them.
- Kraid and Ridley: they can be beaten in either order. Both must fall to raise the bridge to Tourian, where their statues stand.
- Bomb jump: in Morph Ball form, bombs can be timed to climb shafts, chaining into an "infinite bomb jump".
- Door clip / wall jump: glitches that let Samus pass through doors or climb walls early, used by speedrunners for sequence breaks.
- Items, in fan route order: Morph Ball → Missiles → Bombs → Varia → Ice Beam → High Jump → Screw Attack (an approximate route summary, not checked against the game).
