The Elo Ladder
Six bot players with hidden strengths play matches; Elo ratings on the shared ladder sort them into their true order.
AMBER The Elo system (Arpad Elo): expected score E = 1/(1+10^((Rb−Ra)/400)) (standard formula, not re-fetched here).
MODEL Bots with hidden true ratings play random pairings, outcomes are drawn from the true expectation, and every result updates the public ladder with K=16.
LIT on load: E_A + E_B = 1 holds exactly, and after 6000 seeded games the ladder ranks all six bots in their true order.
