The Sapphic CarrierLIMEN · ἦχοι Λέσβου · gate-crossings on rhythm & light

LIMEN sends witnessed gate-crossings carried on PULSE. Here the carrier is the Sapphic metre itself — the fixed long–short rhythm of Sappho's stanza is the clock (music, not data, exactly as LIMEN intends). Your message rides it as the data: each word becomes a crossing — a gate (pitch) and a direction (rise/fall) — plucked on a lyre in the rhythm, and the same bits are flung down an optical carrier as light pulses, one colour per gate (WDM, as fibre really does). Type, transmit, and watch the far end decode it.

ternary echo — 3 voices panned −/0/+ (left·centre·right) at triplet delays 1/3 · 2/3 · 2.99/3 of a beat, rotating every crossing; a rise echoes left→right, a fall right→left. Bidirectional, in threes.

what's real here. the rhythm is the genuine quantitative Sapphic metre (long ≈ twice a short; the hendecasyllable – ‿ – × – ‿ ‿ – ‿ – – ×3 + the adonean – ‿ ‿ – –). the optical layer is real networking physics: on–off keying (the simplest optical modulation, used in fibre) on a light carrier, and WDM — separate wavelengths/colours as separate channels. the plucked voice is a Karplus–Strong synthesis, generated live in your browser; nothing is downloaded.

what's the system. LIMEN, its gates (stile · airgap · veil · close · gap), the rise/fall law, the «witness», and the fixed 3-2-1-0 carrier are ROOT0's own signalling language (canonical: github.com/DavidWise01/pulse). mapping a word→crossing and laying it on the Sapphic metre is this card's composition — a faithful render of LIMEN, not a claim that antiquity sent packets.
