# Starscourge Radahn · the general who held back the stars

Radahn, son of Radagon and Rennala, was the mightiest of the demigod generals. His strength was matched by an odd tenderness: he learned gravity magic for the sake of his beloved horse Leonard, undersized beneath so massive a rider, so that the two might never be parted in battle. At the height of his power he turned that same art against the heavens and halted the very stars in their courses, freezing the fate they govern.

That height did not last. At the stalemate of Aeonia he was wounded and rot-maddened by Malenia, and what remained of the great general wandered Caelid devouring corpses — a ruin of the warrior he had been. It was for his sake that the great Radahn Festival was called, gathering champions not to conquer him but to grant him a warrior's death.

When Radahn falls, the stars resume their courses, and a falling star opens the way to Nokron. His emergence is natural: he is the embodied warrior in fullest measure — flesh, horse, and battlefield — and even his ruin is the natural kind, rot-as-decay eating a body too strong to simply die.
