# Godfrey, First Elden Lord · Hoarah Loux, the warrior who was banished to return

Godfrey was the first Elden Lord — consort of Queen Marika and father of Godwyn, Morgott, and Mohg. Before lordship he was Hoarah Loux, a chieftain warrior of such ferocity that the lion Serosh was chained to his back to leash his battle-lust. He fought Marika's wars beneath that leash.

And when his wars were done, Marika stripped him of grace and banished him and his warriors from the Lands Between — making them the first Tarnished. But the banishment carried a purpose folded inside it: that they might one day return to fight for the Ring. The Tarnished are not an accident of the Order; they are Godfrey's exile, made into a long road home.

He keeps that promise at the very end. Before Radagon, before the Ring itself, Godfrey stands as the last gate — and he sets Serosh aside, casts off lordship, and fights the player bare-handed as Hoarah Loux, warrior. No grace, no lion, no title: only the chieftain who came before the crown. The first Elden Lord and the last challenger are the same man, and he meets the player as what he always was.

His emergence is natural because he is the embodied warrior in its purest form — strength of arm, hunger for battle, a lion leashed to flesh. Where others in the Lands Between are gods, fates, or storms, Godfrey is muscle and will, and his final fight is fought with bare hands.
