A coherent family of human-AI collaboration protocols, languages, runtimes, and specifications, organised under one namespace. Each member is named [role letter] + ACI — H for human, M for machine, D for distributed — and inherits a shared ACI Core. "Artfully" is chosen with intent: these systems are not merely functional but built with craft, by hand and by design. A design philosophy, not just a category.

The acronym ACI is established with the specific expansion Artfully Crafted Intelligence — deliberately distinct from prior uses (Artificial Creative Intelligence, Artificial Capable Intelligence, Artificial Coherence Intelligence). No prior public use of the phrase "Artfully Crafted Intelligence" as an ACI expansion was found as of disclosure. Crafted emphasises construction by hand and intent — distinguishing it from emergent or accidental intelligence.

Five Core principles inherited by every member: (1) deterministic communication between human and machine; (2) explicit attribution of authorship and authority; (3) separation of intent from evidence; (4) minimal syntax, maximal compatibility; (5) external anchoring for trust and provenance. Members depend only on Core, never on each other; each is versioned independently. The namespace grows by accretion, not revision.
